Biological Safety Cabinet
A Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC), also known as a Biosafety Cabinet is mainly used for handling pathogenic biological samples or for applications that require a sterile work zone. A biological safety cabinet creates inflow and downflow of air that provides operator protection. The downflow air passes through an ULPA/HEPA filter and creates an ISO Class 3 work zone to protect samples from the risk of cross-contaminationTo guarantee the biological safety cabinet's optimum performance these are tested and classified by 2 standards: EN 12469:2000 and NSF 49.
Culture Media for Microbiology
Granular media - GranuCult®, and powdered media - NutriSelect® with multiple quality control levels that comply with various standards such as EP, USP, JP, ISO, or FDA-BAM. Additionally, there are rapid culture media (chromogenic media): ChromoCult®, ReadyCult®, and FluoroCult®.
DiluCult™ automated gravimetric dilutor instruments
DiluCult™ are gravimetric dilutor instruments which are designed for automatic dilution of food testing samples with the necessary enrichment media to increase workflow efficiency. Two robotic dispensing arms provide increased safety and can be used to dilute large pooled samples up to 5kg
Enrichment Sample Homogenizer (ESH)
The Enrichment Sample Homogenizer is used for automatic homogenization of food enrichment samples with enrichment media. The ESH instrument does not damage cells and bacteria contained in the sample, and does not require sterilization.
EZ-Fit® Manifold
The EZ-Fit® filtration system complies with water sample testing regulations and bioburden limits, adhering to international standards such as EP, USP, and ISO. The filtration system includes the EZ-Fit™ Manifold multi-branch filter holder, the quiet-operating EZ-Stream™ Pump, and various types of filter funnels (glass, stainless steel, plastic with membrane), along with the optional EZ-Pak® membrane dispenser. The filter membranes are available in pore sizes of 0.22µm, 0.45µm, and 0.8µm, made from various materials. Notably, the special PVDF membrane is used for samples containing antibiotics and antimicrobial agents.
EZ-Fit™ Filtration Unit
- Microbial testing won’t be a burden when you use EZ-Fit® filtration units. The sterilized, disposable filtration devices for bioburden testing streamline your workflow, save time and give you highly reliable microbial enumeration results.
EZ-Fluo™ Rapid Detection System
A fast, non-destructive, fluorescent staining-based system for microbial detection. The EZ-Fluo™ system uses proven technology based on a universal enzymatic fluorescent staining of viable microorganisms.Non-destructive method, compatible with any ID technique. Reincubation for microorganism identification. This new system uses standard membrane filtration to detect viable and culturable microorganisms down to 1 CFU per sample.

ReadyStream® culture media preparation
Media preparation as simple as pressing a buttonThe revolutionary new ReadyStream® system makes culture media preparation and dispensing easier than ever before. The irradiated media bags contain dry culture media for either 30 or 100 liters. Type II water is added to dissolve the media and create a 10x concentrated media that can be used for up to 5 days. The concentrated media bags are much easier to handle, store and rehydrated and weight only about a tenth of the weight of a fully reconstituted media bag.

Singlepath® & Duopath® Lateral Flow Tests
Merck’s Singlepath® and Duopath® Lateral Flow Tests are immunoassays for detecting pathogens with the ultimate convenience. Covering the major pathogens, the tests act as mini-laboratories in the “pregnancy test” format and always include a built-in control reaction. Another major advantage is that they deliver definite results as little as 20 minutes after sample enrichment.Merck Lateral Flow Tests offer all the benefits of traditional testing methods with the addition of simplicity, speed, reliability and convenience. Use in combination with our granulated culture media to ensure optimal test performance. Singlepath® E. coli O157, Singlepath® Salmonella, Singlepath® Campylobacter and Duopath® Verotoxins rapid tests are AOAC-RI approved.
